Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) is hosting its inaugural conference, Creating Social Impact: Blending Philanthropy and Investment Capital in Singapore on May 9-10, 2013. The two-day program will host 300 delegates from more than 20 countries. Cliff Prior, CEO of UnLtd UK; Luther Ragin, CEO of Global Impact Investor Network (GIIN); Kurt Peleman, CEO of EVPA; and Lance Fors, President of Social Venture Partners International will provide European and US perspectives on venture philanthropy. Hearing about the challenges these social investment leaders face, their journey and the opportunities ahead is sure to stimulate active debate from delegates.
I am a panelist on the Toolkits-Fundraising session moderated by Simon Chadwick, CEO of AVPN. Other panelists include Erik Savage, Co-founder & President of Unitus Capital, Vishal Mehta, Co-founder & Partner of Lok Advisory Services and Mykolas Rambus, CEO of Wealth-X. We will be discussing the current fundraising environment, the relative importance and differences between institutional and individual funding and many other exciting tips and trends in Asia.
Since many individuals cannot participate at the event, Asian Philanthropy Forum will be covering the event and various sessions. Andy Ho and Victor Kuo will be blogging and twittering (hashtag #avpn2013) from the conference. If you would like us to feature a particular speaker or session, please email me at: email@example.com.
We are very excited to provide this new service to our readers so please join us in May as we bring you on-the-ground coverage of what will surely be a remarkable event!
