Searching for Social Entrepreneurs in Asia

Vivian Gee at the The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship is searching for outstanding social entrepreneurs in all Asian countries (excluding India, Indonesia, and the Philippines). Here is what she is looking for:

In general, we are looking for late social enterprises that have scaled already. This means a solid track record of delivering measured impact/results for at least 3-5 years to an under-served population or community (on average, our organizations have been operating for 10 years on the ground). Ideally, the social enterprise is already expanding internationally, if not regionally.

In terms of benefits, social entrepreneurs joining the Schwab Foundation’s global community will share knowledge and experience while exchanging best practices. They will also have access to the meetings of the World Economic Forum and are provided with unique platforms to engage and connect with government, corporate, intellectual and media leaders. In addition, the Schwab Foundation seeks to help social entrepreneurs showcase their innovative, market-based social impact initiatives, thus, enhancing opportunities for business growth. Because social entrepreneurs will be exposed to many global networking opportunities, some comfortability conversing in English is essential.

If you know of anyone that may qualify, please feel free to forward this opportunity to them! For more information, please visit: http://www.schwabfoundseoy.org/asia.
